About Rosy Cheeks

Free time should leave something behind.

Rosy Cheeks makes color-and-discover books for children aged 4 to 10. Each one turns quiet time into time well spent: a picture to bring to life, and something new to learn along the way.

The problem

Too many afternoons disappear into a screen.

Every parent knows the moment. The homework is done, the house is quiet, and the easiest answer is a tablet or the TV. An hour goes by, and your child has nothing to show for it.

The alternatives are not much better. Most coloring books are pages to fill and nothing more. Children get bored quickly, and parents are left wishing that free time could do a little more.

Our story

Started at home, by people who know children.

Rosy Cheeks began with a graphic designer and a foundation-phase teacher. One of us has spent more than fifteen years creating visual work. The other spends every school day with young children, watching what holds their attention and what doesn’t.

We saw the same thing at home and in the classroom: children love to color, and they love to know things. Very few books gave them both. So we started making our own.

We wanted books we would be proud to hand to our own children.

What we believe

Every page should earn its place.

01

Learning can feel like play

Each picture comes with facts about the subject, so children learn without it ever feeling like homework.

02

Made to be finished

Thick paper that handles markers, single-sided pages and spiral binding that lies flat. Built for real use at the kitchen table.

03

Something to be proud of

A finished book is a keepsake. Your child ends the week with something they made, and something they now know.

Give your child something better than another hour of screen time.

Start with Epic Cars or Cozy Homes. R180 each, delivered to your door.
